Frequently Asked Questions |

It’s normal to feel uncertain about the therapy process. Below are answers to the things people most often wonder about before reaching out. Please reach out if your question is not answered here.

    • Individual Therapy (53 minutes): $225

    • Couples Therapy:

      • Intake session (90 minutes): $300

      • Ongoing sessions (53 minutes): $225

  • No, I do not accept insurance.

I am happy to provide a superbill for individuals who wish to use out-of-network (OON) benefits. If you’re unsure whether your plan includes out-of-network coverage, you can contact your insurance provider and ask whether they reimburse for psychotherapy services (billing code 90837).

Clients are encouraged to check their mental health benefits, including whether their deductible has been met. If your deductible has not yet been met, you may find that your out-of-pocket cost for therapy using insurance is similar to private-pay rates, depending on your plan.

Please Note: I do not provide superbills for couples therapy. Insurance companies generally do not reimburse for couples or relationship therapy unless one partner is identified as the “patient” and given a mental health diagnosis. In my work with couples, the relationship itself is the focus of treatment, not an individual partner, so this model does not align with how insurance requires services to be billed.

  • I specialize in working with anger, people pleasing, and emotional avoidance, especially as these manifest in relationships.

I also have lived and clinical experience working with ADHD, autistic, and AuDHD adults. My doctoral training included several years experience conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for neurodivergent folks. I enjoy helping individuals explore any suspected neurodivergent identities in therapy and have strong referral resources for those interested in being evaluated.

  • The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the process.

Ultimately, you’ll get the clearest sense of our fit after the first session. You’ll know we are a good fit if you leave feeling understood and comfortable sharing without a filter. Clients tend to express appreciating my way that I show up as my authentic self in sessions. My style is warm and approachable while also directly challenging when needed. I help people understand what is leading to emotional avoidance by calling attention to it in real time.

I trust your instincts, and there’s no pressure to continue therapy if it doesn’t feel right. Therapy should feel supportive, not forced.

  • I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Additionally, my doctoral training was heavily focused on attachment-based and emotion-focused therapy. I blend these experiences by helping couples develop concrete communication skills while also exploring attachment wounds that make using these skills challenging in daily life.

  • I provide therapy for individuals and couples in-person in Vancouver, Washington, or online for individuals or couples residing anywhere in Washington state.

I cannot see individuals located anywhere outside of Washington.

  • 53-minutes. If we find that this time is not enough for you, I am sometimes able to offer extended sessions for an adjusted rate depending on availability.

  • You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation call on the Get in Touch page. I’ll respond within 24-48 hours about availability and next steps. If you do not hear from me within 48 hours, then I am likely out of the office and will respond immediately upon my return.

  • No.

While I recognize AI as a useful tool to support executive functioning at times, I believe it has no place in the therapy room. Your sessions will not be recorded or transcribed with AI in any way.
