What does an ADHD evaluation involve?
-
During the initial intake, Dr. Savanna will do an in-depth clinical interview to learn about your experiences. This may sound intense, but really, it will just feel like a conversation all about you! You will have the chance to share early development and other formative life experiences, present day challenges, and your hopes and dreams. Dr. Savanna uses all of this information to understand you on a deep level and tailor the assessment and results to your personal needs.
-
Using the gold-standard of ADHD assessment tools, we will gather data to not only understand your symptoms and the areas of greatest impact, but also areas of strength. Beyond simple ADHD checklists, we will assess your cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities, memory, and social-emotional functioning.
Data is used to guide treatment planning and ensure you leave with your major questions answered.
-
At the end of the evaluation, you will receive a comprehensive written report that goes beyond potential confirmation of a diagnosis. The report will provide a thorough overview of the results in understandable language and recommended support services and strategies. This report is yours to keep so that you can refer back to it at any time or share it with other healthcare providers if you wish.
Synthesizing the data and writing results into your tailored report generally takes 2-3 weeks. At this time, a feedback session will be scheduled to review the results with you and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions. This is the part that clients often find the most therapeutic. Many report finally feeling seen and relieved to know how to better support themselves.
What does an ADHD evaluation cost?
Comprehensive ADHD evaluations are $4,500.
Payments are charged in three installments:
$500 deposit required at the time of scheduling to hold your evaluation slot. This deposit is applied toward the total cost.
50% due at the intake session (minus the $500 deposit).
Remaining 50% due at the last testing session.
Personalized payment plans are often able to be accommodated upon request.
Rooted Self Psychology does not accept insurance. Unfortunately, insurance often only covers brief assessments, removing the ability to deeply and holistically evaluate the full picture. A private pay evaluation allows for consistently high-quality work without the limitations and barriers imposed by insurance companies.
Superbills are available for those who would like to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
Do you provide follow-up care?
Clients often continue therapy at Rooted Self Psychology following the completion of the assessment. If you’d like to work with Dr. Savanna for therapy, you are welcome to reach out and inquire about availability.
