NEUROAFFIRMING THERAPY FOR AUTISTIC ADULTS IN WASHINGTON STATE

Adult Autism Therapist in Vancouver, WA and online throughout Washington State

Your brain is not broken.
You’re just trying to keep up in a society that wasn’t built for your nervous system.

WHEN DAILY LIFE FEELS HARDER THAN IT SHOULD

Have you spent years working hard just to fit in?

You feel capable and committed to the people and responsibilities in your life. So why do you still feel exhausted from managing everyday demands?

When your life is not built around the way your brain and nervous system work, you may notice:

  • Feeling overstimulated by sensory inputs, social expectations or changes in routine

  • Needing extra recovery time after social interaction than those around you

  • Feeling exhausted from masking or constantly monitoring how you’re being perceived

  • Struggling to recognize your needs before you become overwhelmed

  • Wanting meaningful relationships without feeling like you have to hide parts of yourself

  • Struggling to adapt to environments that aren’t built for neurodivergent people

The Good News?

You do not need to become someone else to build a meaningful life. Therapy can help you understand autism and how to navigate life as a neurodivergent adult without ignoring your specific needs.

Support for Neurodivergent Adults in Washington State

Neuroaffirming therapy at Rooted Self helps you discover your brain’s strengths and support needs. We may explore sensory needs, masking, communication and relationships, emotional regulation and the environments that make daily life more sustainable.

Beyond practical strategies, we will examine the stories you've learned to tell yourself and develop a more compassionate, accurate understanding of your mind.

Support from someone who gets it.

Supporting neurodivergent adults is more than a clinical specialty. As someone diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life, I know how meaningful it can be to finally have language for experiences that never made sense before. You may have spent years adapting to social expectations, masking, and being misunderstood without knowing why. Neuroaffirming therapy can feel like a breath of fresh air as you begin to understand your deeper needs and learn how to navigate life without feeling exhausted by everyday demands.

I’m Dr. Savanna Parker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist

My specialty is relational, neuroaffirming therapy for adults and couples in Vancouver and across Washington State. If you’re looking for an autism therapist but feel hesitant about therapy I get it. Maybe you have tried it before and left feeling misunderstood. As someone who was diagnosed neurodivergent as an adult, I know the feeling of re-learning who you are and how you operate. With the support of therapy, you can make sense of what your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors are communicating, understand the needs beneath them, and learn to respond in ways that feel true to you.

Sessions built for your nervous system

The Rooted Self therapy room was designed with neurodivergent nervous systems in mind. Soothing colors, plenty of natural light, organic textures, fidget objects, and no expectations for eye contact or sitting still.

Less shame. More understanding.

Less pressure to perform. More support for what you actually need.
